SkillOnNet has partnered with ClearStake to transform its enhanced due diligence (EDD) and source of funds processes across its portfolio of brands, including PlayOJO.
The partnership will see SkillOnNet implement ClearStake’s bank-based verification technology, replacing document-heavy and manual workflows with real-time financial assessments and automated decisioning. This marks a significant step forward in how operators approach compliance, player experience and operational efficiency.
ClearStake’s platform applies a gambling-specific intelligence layer that enables operators to control what information is requested, when it is requested and how outcomes are automated. This creates a more dynamic and tailored approach to EDD, allowing decisions to be made faster and with greater consistency.
By removing the reliance on manual document checks, SkillOnNet can reduce operational overhead while improving the experience for players. The result is a smoother journey with less friction, alongside stronger and more scalable compliance processes.
The rollout will begin in the UK, with plans to expand into additional regulated markets over time. This phased approach allows SkillOnNet to quickly realise benefits in a key market while building a foundation for global deployment.
Eyal Naor, COO of SkillOnNet, said:
“Enhanced due diligence is central to sustainable growth in regulated markets. ClearStake allows us to strengthen controls while improving speed and consistency across the player journey.”
Martin Burt, CEO of ClearStake, added:
“EDD is a core revenue, risk and operational challenge for operators. The ClearStake platform is built to optimise these processes, helping operators make faster and better decisions without relying on manual document checks.”
This partnership reflects a wider shift across the industry, as operators respond to increasing regulatory expectations and economic pressure following recent budget changes. There is a growing focus on protecting margins, scaling efficiently and delivering robust compliance frameworks without compromising player experience.
ClearStake continues to see strong adoption among leading UK operators, as the industry moves towards more automated, data-driven approaches to affordability and due diligence.
